Cant stress how much we ADORED the Vue D'Or. We were in a sea view room (160) and the view over Sorrento and across to Vesuvius was breathtaking. Never got sick of looking at it, glass of vino in hand of course!
The hotel's location was perfect for us - near enough to the bustle of the centre (10 mins on the free shuttle bus) but we liked that it was set away up on the Nastro Verde, as it was really peaceful if you just wanted to chill out.
Its also right on the route for the Amalfi Coast buses, so we had amazing days out for a few euros each. And its easy to get further afield to Pompeii, Capri etc.
We went half board (which was a good call given the Euro/pound situ) and the menu had 3 different choices every night of the week we were there, plus a smashing breakfast. Great food and lovely staff (Hi Bartolo!) .
The hotel is spotless and everyone was very helpful and friendly.
Only advice is take a travel kettle etc if you like your cuppas, as there are no facilities in the room, although you can get tea/coffee from the bar.
We're already planning a return visit! |

We recently had a wonderful holiday in June at la Vue d'or hotel. We stayed in room 161 and the views were absolutely wonderful. We met a nice group of people especially on the bus which is a great asset. Nice friendly staff. |

We recently returned to La Vue Dor Hotel and as always it was wonderful. The hotel is superb, well run by the very attentive family who are willing to help in any way. The food and service by the staff in the dining room was excellent. The view from the hotel is spectacular and we will definitely be going back there in the future. |

We visited on May 1st 2009 and stayed for 7 nights and would highly reccommend this hotel.
Clean, comfortable, good food, excellent attentive staff and very well run.
The hotel minibus is a great idea and was very useful for our sightseeing trips as the drop off point in Sorrento is only a short walk away from the bus and railway station.
The views from the hotel are beautiful. Visit ! |

Ottimo albergo, dotato di meravigliosa ed indimenticabile vista sul litorale sorrentino. Camere pulite e confortevoli, colazione abbondante; bus navetta comodo e puntuale. Personale gentile e disponibile, in particolare la Sig.ra Rosanna, proprietaria della struttura. Consigliamo l'hotel, anche per la sua tranquillità. |

Semplicemente incantevole il panorama dall'hotel, personale gentilissimo e puliizia ottima. Giorni di estremo relax compreso il servizio navetta che ti porta al centro di sorrento quindi si evita anche lo stress da parcheggio. Hotel che consiglio a chiunque credetemi, un saluto alla proprietaria persona squisita. Saluti dalla puglia |

We stayed in La Vue D'or for a fabulous week in October. Met some wonderful people and did a lot of walking down to Sorrento and up to St Agata. The mini bus was very handy as we went into the town most nights after dinner.The view from the room we had was spectacular, proabably the best view to be had of the peninsular. Sorrento wasnt my initial choice of holiday destination but will definately go again, might even have our wedding there in 2010! |

Thank you to all staff once again for a wonderful 2 weeks at La Vue D'or, Spectacular views from this hotel, lovely pool area and sunterrace. The Hotel, Rooms and Dinning Room is immaculate. All staff are so helpful. 3* hotel with definately 5* feel about it. Will be returning for our third time next year. Nino and family we hope you are all well |

We had a lovely two weeks at the start of June. The Hotel was clean and the Staff welcoming. The food was great with plenty of choice. The minibus service was very useful. The best part about our holiday was the view from the room, we paid a bit more for a seaview room but it was worth every penny !! We would definaltely reccomend the Hotel and Sorrento to anyone. Thank you again for an excellent holiday. |

we came home yesterday after a wonderful weeks holiday.The views were stunning and the staff always happy and helpful.The food was good and everywhere spotlessly clean.The hotel is perfect for slightly older people off peak as it is lovely and quiet.We just wish we were there now!!But hopefully will be next year.Thank you La Vue D@OR!!! |

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel Vu D'Or for two and half weeks. The hotel is family owned and well run. The staff is wonderful--warm, efficient and accommodating. The hotel is well run, very clean and the view was outstanding. The location is also very convenient. It was quiet yet with the shuttle bus to Sorrento, it was easy to get around the pennisula. We would highly recommend the hotel and we would stay here again. |

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel La Vue D'Or for our father's 80th birthday celebration. While the hotel is up on a steep hillside high above the main part of town, the views of the bay and the peace and quiet you enjoy are well worth it! The convenience of the shuttle bus that takes guests to and from the center of town several times a day cannot be overstated, so you really get the best of both worlds. The staff was friendly and helpful, and our room on the top floor had a great view over the green hills of Sorrento and the Bay of Naples. Beautiful dining room, excellent breakfast, large comfortable lobby. A real find! |
